Yeah , I know -- how corny! Molly, please don't be one of those kind!! I couldn't resist though! I thought I'd do an update on what we are growing now in sunny Florida. The Lord continues to BLESS our efforts in the garden ("....for without ME ye can do nothing. John 15:5). We have been enjoying the last of the collards, bunches of broccoli, green beans, green peas and cabbages, and the brussel sprouts are just starting to form -- they are so cute!! We have a steady flow of beautiful tomatoes (yes, tomatoes in January!! Only in Florida!!) ripening now which I believe will be an abundance in a few weeks. We had enough banana peppers for Callie to make Chris some banana pepper rings which he loves! The spinach and carrots will be ready for harvest soon as well. What a blessing truly to "reap what we have sown" and see God's beautiful creations bloom and grow right before our eyes! Oh, by the way, we found something unique growing in the cabbage patch yesterday. Be sure and go to the end to see what surprise we found there!
A sampling of winter veggies in Florida.
Green beans, cabbage, broccoli, tomatoes,

Chris building more raised beds
Peek-a-boo!!
He built 14 more beds of various sizes!!
He's sooo sweet to me :)
Wills was "helping" all day!
OK - Here's our cabbage patch surprise........
Oh, a cabbage patch baby! How cute!
Wills will probably not appreciate my use of him as a
cute garden prop when he discovers these pictures 15 years from
now. But it is awful fun at the present!
God bless each of you!
Molly

Oh, what wonderful things (as well as cute!)grow in the Stricklen raised beds! We were blessed to be invited to partake of a bounty of veggies Saturday evening, and it was outstanding! I have not tasted green peas like that since I was a child.
We have been raving about these delightful veggies since the Thanksgiving collards. Nothing tastes quite as wonderful as fresh-picked produce. Thanks, Stricklens. You truly are the "Green Thumb" family!

Wonderful, marvelous, outstanding garden!! Mr. Stricklen, you've done it again with those boxes. I guess it's much easier than trying to get rid of acres of sandspurs, huh? You ladies know what you're doing, that's for sure!
We came back from the rockies where everything is white, to Florida where everything is green. What a drastic difference, it was unbelievable. Enjoy your bounty.
Much Love,
The Pollocks
oh, we forgot to say that we agree with all the other comments. Wills is STILL the cutest baby boy and definately the cutest "Cabbage Patch" baby we've ever seen.
