Where The Orange Blossoms Grow....

Hello! Welcome to the Stricklen's blog. We hope to keep our family and friends up to date with what is going on with our family. You will find a variety of experiences posted here -- you may find pictures of the never ending project of building our house, Callie helping William with his first steps, Mary studying a rare insect species, or perhaps you may be terribly bored with Molly's numerous fruit trees, berries, vegetables and rare plant pictures! Who knows what we may find Chris and CJ doing -- probably something having to do with a tractor or machine of sorts. Abby and Margaret will keep us entertained with costumes from other lands or a fairy story. Whatever we post, we trust it will lift your spirits and bring honor and glory to our Lord!

It's a ...........

BOY

Yes, another boy or so the sonogram technician says! I guess we won't know for sure until he (or she) is born! We are just so thrilled that the baby appears to be
healthy and everything is as it should be.
We have dedicated this child to the Lord and want nothing more
than for his life to please our Lord.
Great picture, huh? Yes, it looks like every other baby in a sonogram! But none the less, it is his first portrait and we are very proud of it! He looks like an angel to his Mama!
The due date is March 16, 2010, which the sonogram measurements agreed with.
We are thanking and praising the Lord for this precious blessing!

Chris, Molly and children
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
While we are so happy and full of rejoicing after our sonogram, we can't help but think of the family who had the sono before us. They found out their baby was not alive and they were quite far along in the pregnancy. They had even brought their 3 children with them to see. The grief and sorrow on their faces is something I will never forget. Please pray for this family - God knows who they are. Thank you.
Oh, Molly! That is so very very sad about the other family! I have tears in my eyes! As I ponder this baby and baby Andrew who died this weekend, I wonder why, but who can question God?
Why we have been so blessed to raise ours when others have had their little lambs taken right back to the Father, I do not know. I will pray for this precious family. How hard.
We are rejoicing with you even more that little baby Stricklen is healthy and are so excited to see those 3 Stricklen boys and those 3 little boy cousins all in a row :)
Love,
Aunt Beth
We're so excited that there will be yet another Stricklen boy! I never thought I'd type "yet another" in conjunction with "Stricklen boy"!
We'll be praying that the Lord will give perfect peace to the family that lost their baby.
Love,
Katie
WOW!! Another Boy!! How exciting is that???
We are rejoicing with you in a healthy baby boy.
Our hearts go out to the family who is grieving right now. God's ways are sooo much higher than ours. Will we ever understand the mind of God? I think not.
God bless you and ALL your blessings!
Much Love,
The Graves
We've been praying for that precious baby(boy)and momma and we are so happy for you, especially Wills, Cj and dad. He needed more "men" to drive all his big equipment, although I know the ladies handle it quite well :)
We'll be lifting up the other family, also. How very sad. What would we do without our Heavenly Father, who understands like noone can and gives us comfort like noone gives.
Love y'all lots,
Mrs. P
